True Black Beauty

Is my darkness too much for you?
Or should I cake on endless foundation
And look life the rest of the nation
More empty artwork, made to look untrue

Is the roundness of Queens's hips?
Not written in the "Model Look" script
Should I dress myself in baggy clothes?
to cover up parts that your race has opposed

What about the bridge in my nose
A representation that I should become another one of
Fashion's Ho's
Another Do Another Don't
Another I would but I wont

Giving myself a nameless title
In a world where money is vital
Where truth can't be seen by the naked eye
So I hear by imply

That my sleek jawbone
& Unique skin tone
Is just another blessing that the lord cast upon me
So I hear by guarantee

That I am not your average Nation's Ho

I'm Sad :(

Teary eyes and fake smiles,
are what become of my silent cries,
The face you see is not ever me,
and this is the way I want it to be,
Yes I am sad, many emotions running free,
Locked up inside but its the happy one you see,
Depression, devastation, sorrow and pain,
are trials of my daily life that drive me insane,
Why do I feel this way do you ask?
Why do I shield myself and wear this mask?
Put yourself in my shoes, would you want people to know the real you?
Would you want people to know why you act the way you do?
When you answer these questions you will see what I mean,
Why I would never want the real me to be seen,
So don't judge me by what you see on my face,
Becuase what I go through each day will never be your case.
